Katrina Moore is the author of acclaimed picture books, including THE STAR IN YOU , CHANG'E ON THE MOON, HOPE IS A HOP, SOMETIMES LOVE, GRANDPA GRUMPS, SCHOOLTIME GRUMPS, the humorous TEENY HOUDINI chapter books, the BIG JOBS FOR LITTLE BABIES board book series, and more. Her books have received numerous accolades, such as “The Best Children’s Books of The Year” from Bank Street College of Education, selection for awards on multiple state lists, have been translated globally, and have received multiple starred reviews. Katrina Moore is the author of acclaimed picture books, including THE STAR IN YOU, CHANG'E ON THE MOON, HOPE IS A HOP, SOMETIMES LOVE, ONE HUG, GRANDPA GRUMPS, and its companion, GRUMPY NEW YEAR, the forthcoming SCHOOLTIME GRUMPS, the humorous TEENY HOUDINI chapter book series, and WHO’S BUILDING?, the newest in the BIG JOB FOR LITTLE BABIES board book series. Her books have received numerous accolades, such as being named one of “The Best Children’s Books of The Year” from Bank Street College of Education, selected for state award lists in Georgia, Washington, Kansas, and Illinois, chosen as an Inclusive Book for Children Top Pick, an Amazon Editor’s pick, have been translated globally, and received starred reviews from Booklist and School Library Journal. A former elementary educator for thirteen years with a M.A. in Teaching, she’s previously taught in Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. Katrina lives in Georgia, with her family, where her mission is to create books that children will hug for ages.
When Katrina is not building new literary worlds, she is cooking without a recipe, painting outside the lines, adventuring, or snuggling up with her two kids, husband, giant pups, and of course, digging into a cozy book.
